InnoVEX 2022 Pavilions to Showcase Innovations in Sports Tech, Healthcare & Biotech, and 5G

InnoVEX, the innovation hub of Asia will return in a hybrid format with the onsite event held in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, Hall 1 (TaiNEX 1) from May 24 to 27 concurrently with COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2022. As one of the organizers, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that many well-known accelerators will organize pavilions within InnoVEX; including HYPE Global Virtual Taiwan, StarFab, APT 5G, and more.

The pavilions invited startups focusing on the latest tech trends and innovations in sports tech, healthcare, biotech, 5G, and more. Through international and cross-sector cooperation with global VCs, CVCs, and major ICT companies; the startups will be able to find business and partnership opportunities from the pavilions this year.

HYPE GVA Taiwan Pavilion Shows Taiwan’s Innovations in Sports Tech


In 2018, the Sports Administration of the Ministry of Education together cooperated with HYPE Sports Innovation, the world’s largest sports tech accelerator, to jointly promote Taiwan’s first sports startup accelerator. Operated by IAPS (Center of Industry Accelerator and Patent Strategy, National Chiao Tung University), they aim to be The Asia Hub for Sports Innovation. HYPE Global Virtual Accelerator Taiwan, formerly HYPE SPIN TW has operated for 3 years. In that time, they have assisted and mentored 65 sports startups with 41 international teams. So far, they have raised USD 12 million and is closely partnered with Decathlon Taiwan, the WeiChuan Dragons basketball team, sports industry leaders such as Adidas, ASICS, UA, Giant Bicycles, etc., and professors from major sports universities in Taiwan for matchmaking events.

This year, HYPE GVA Taiwan will host 7 startups in InnoVEX 2022. The startups are: FEEGAM, CREST, Hikingbook, JINGLETEK, Swipe, Xpure, and Polssir (from Finland) to showcase innovative technology and sports tech services such as in-seat services for stadiums, diving gears, hiking services, sports training system, sports training, PPEs, and health tracking.

StarFab Pavilion Focuses on Healthcare, Robotics, and AIoT Applications


Founded in 2016, StarFab is an accelerator that focuses on accelerating innovation in computer-integrated manufacturing, smart healthcare, smart city, smart retail, smart farming, and financial technology. They are the largest and fastest-growing corporate accelerator in Asia who aim to commercialize these industries.

The StarFab Pavilion will feature 4 startups in differing fields including healthcare, robotics, and AIoT. The teams are: COMGO, SyncVision, NUWA Robotics, and Yallvend. Together, they will bring innovations in improved health reports, integrated system platform for general examination and physical examination, AI robots, and improved vending machines.

APT 5G Accelerator Pavilion Showcases Innovative 5G Applications


To further enhance the development of Taiwan’s 5G services and applications, it is necessary to strengthen the cooperation between startups and corporates. Supported by the Small and Medium Enterprise Administration (SMEA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA) and Asia Pacific Telecom, the pavilion features startups whose business scopes are focused on developing innovative 5G applications. The pavilion aims to help startups connect with cross sector international companies for more investment and business partnership opportunities.

The APT 5G Accelerator Pavilion will include startups such as TENDERGIGI and YI KUEI. TENDERGIGI has developed various technologies including AI electroencephalogram, remote drone logistics real-time delivery monitoring solutions. YI KUEI provides services such as smart agricultural design, agricultural environmental control, and agricultural consulting.
