2016-05-04
As information technology advances, consumer trends continue to change, new business opportunities are developed and startup ventures become the mainstream. The Taipei Computer Association (TCA), one of the organizers of COMPUTEX TAIPEI, states that in response to the trend of innovative technology applications, TCA has newly established the InnoVEX Startup Exhibit, in the hopes of creating a platform for startups, venture capitalists, manufacturers and experts to exchange ideas through the “Exhibition X Networking X Forum X Pitch Contest” interaction model at COMPUTEX to encourage transnational cross-industry exchange, and inspire viable future business opportunities.
According to event organizers, 200 startups and companies from 20 countries will be participating in the InnoVEX Exhibit, including showcased applications will cover an extensive range of fields including food, clothing, shelter, transportation, etc.
Careful analysis of the applications conceived by domestic and foreign startups will show that 5 main fields including hardware & IoT, B2B software, consumer technology, cloud applications and health technology take up a major proportion of all projects, each field assuming more than 10% of all projects proposed. In addition, nearly 10 startups are launching finance technology (FinTech) related applications and services; other startups are proposing cross-industry applications in energy efficiency, agriculture, education, water resource management and internet of vehicles. It is evident that InnoVEX could break through limitations in the ICT industry and create a truly integrated international cross-industry exchange platform.
