InnoVEX 2024 Begins Today, Welcoming 400 Global Startups from over 30 Countries and Regions

InnoVEX 2024 is held from June 4 to 7, 2024 in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (TaiNEX) Hall 2, 4F. Positioned as the hub of Asia, InnoVEX 2024 focuses on AI, Green Tech, Semiconductor Applications, and Smart Mobility, reflecting the current ongoing trends in the tech industry. The event is joined by 400 startups from more than 30 countries and regions including Taiwan, Australia, Belgium, Brazil, France, Japan, Indonesia, India and more. A total of 23 pavilions organized by the industry, government agencies, accelerators, incubators, and more are joining InnoVEX 2024. In addition, InnoVEX also features over 50 forum sessions and 60 demo & pitch sessions.
The InnoVEX 2024 opening ceremony was joined by industry leaders and government representatives, including: Kung Ming-hsin, Secretary-General of the Executive Yuan; Paul SL Peng, as well as VIPs representing over 20 countries, VCs, CVCs, and more. This shows how InnoVEX has become one of the most important platforms for startups from around the world to gain access to not only international markets, but also investments and partners from Taiwan’s renowned tech ecosystem.
The event was opened with a speech by Mr. Paul SL Peng, the chairman of one of the organizers of InnoVEX: Taipei Computer Association (TCA). In his speech, Chairman Peng stated that since it started in 2016, InnoVEX has been held concurrently with COMPUTEX and serves as an important bridge between the tech companies and startup teams. It is Asia’s key startup platform that continues to gather global startups as well as VCs, CVCs, industry partners, markets, and media resources.
Furthermore, he shared that breakthroughs in generative AI (GenAI) and advances in AI Computing Chips have accelerated the developments of Large Language Models (LLMs) and Large Multimodal Models (LMMs). This helps promote AI PCs, AI servers, AI chips, and Edge AI devices to be the focus of this year’s events and encouraged many startups to pursue innovations that can improve the operational efficiency of various industries.
23 Pavilions Join InnoVEX 2024 to Connect Global Startups with Various Resources
With startups from over 30 countries and regions joining InnoVEX, TCA stated that this year marks the most diverse edition yet. In total, 23 pavilions are joining the event, including 7 national pavilions and 16 pavilions organized by government agencies, accelerators, incubators, and more.
This year, the international pavilions are organized by: Australia – NSW, Commercial Office of Brazil, Flanders Investment & Trade, Business France, GxPartners, ResorTech Okinawa, Okinawa Prefecture, Startup India, and Tamana City Hall. The pavilions organized by Taiwanese government, academia, accelerators, and incubators include: the Business Incubation Center, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology Pavilion; CNC Accelerator Pavilion; Garage+ Pavilion; GISA Theme Pavilion; Keelung City Government Department of Economic Affairs Pavilion; NTPC Digibase Pavilion; NYCU Pavilion; StarFab Accelerator Pavilion; Startup Innovation Pavilion; T5GIP Pavilion; TPITPH Pavilion; TREE Pavilion; and Taiwan Tech Arena Pavilion.
InnoVEX Forums to Share Insights on AI, EV, and Sustainability as Demo & Pitch Sessions Demonstrate Global Innovations
As one of the organizers of InnoVEX, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that InnoVEX 2024 will feature over 120 speakers in the 4-day event who will discuss the growing trends in the ICT industry including AI, EV, ESG, and more. The forums will be joined by speakers from vital tech corporations, VCs including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Taiwan, Intel, KPMG, MediaTek, Mosaic Venture Lab, Nokia Technologies, NVIDIA, RANOVUS, Renesas, Tata Consultancy Services, Uber, and more. The forums will also feature representatives from government agencies, hospitals, and academia such as the Industrial Technology Research Institute, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, Taipei Municipal Gan-Dau Hospital, National Science and Technology Council, and more.
InnoVEX will continue to host demo and pitch sessions for startups to showcase their innovations to the participating VCs, CVCs, as well as potential buyers, partners, and visitors. This year, the demo and pitch sessions are organized by various government agencies, accelerators, incubators, etc., including: IPHatch Taipei, Le French Tech, Flanders Region, EBRD Star Venture, Okinawa Prefecture Government, New South Wales Australia, and more.

As the special startup focused event of COMPUTEX, InnoVEX 2024 will be held concurrently with COMPUTEX 2024. The event will focus on 4 major topics: Semiconductor Applications, AI, Smart Mobility, and Green Tech. In total, over 400 startups from more than 30 countries and regions will join InnoVEX 2024. This year, InnoVEX will feature speakers from major global tech companies including Renesas, PSMC, and more. The winners of the InnoVEX Pitch Contest 2024 will be able to win prizes including cash or professional resource and services sponsored by Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC), the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Business Startup Support Centre (BSSC), KPMG, NVIDIA, NXP, the ResorTech EXPO in Okinawa Executive Committee, PwC, and Taiwania Capital.
