Taiwan Polymer Material Company Wins the InnoVEX 2024 Pitch Contest Grand Prize

InnoVEX 2024 is held in Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center Hall 2 (TaiNEX 2) 4F from June 4 to 7. With a prize pool valued at a total of USD 100,000 which includes USD 63,000 in cash prizes as well as a number of professional and promotional resources, the Pitch Contest this year focused on various emerging industries, including: AI, Green Tech, Healthcare & Biotech, Semiconductor Applications, Smart Mobility, and more.

The prizes are provided by the organizers as well as the sponsors: The Ministry of Transportation and Communications (MOTC), the Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Business Startup Support Centre (BSSC), KPMG, NVIDIA, NXP, the ResorTech EXPO in Okinawa Executive Committee, PwC, and Taiwania Capital. In total, the prize pool of InnoVEX 2024 is valued at USD 100,000; including USD 63,000 in cash prizes as well as a number of professional and promotional resources.

The winners of the pitch contest are:

  • Taiwan Polymer Material Company – Winner of the Grand Prize, BSSC Award, KPMG Award, and PwC Award
    Taiwan Polymer Material Company (TPMC) can convert end-of-life tires into highly reactive and valuable recycled rubber materials and metals. TPMC is the only one who can provide recycled rubber powder fully complied with the GB/T15904-2020 standard for the use of tire additives (polyisoprene).
  • Watasumi – Winner of the Future Star Award
    Watasumi is a Japanese Green Tech startup that specializes in turning waste into a valuable source of renewable energy. Their Kappa Wastewater Treatment System is able to convert organic rich wastewater into energy and remove the contamination in the process.
  • ReisenderTECH Ltd. - Winner of the Smart Mobility Award
    ReisenderTECH LTD. specializes in providing professional robotic solutions and custom services to collaborating businesses and academic research units. Currently, the company's main focus lies in offering reasonably priced, high-quality education/industrial robots, components, customized services, and educational programs.
  • NanoWired GmbH - Winner of the Startup Terrace Award (ST Award)
    NanoWired GmbH is a German startup that has developed a direct copper bonding technology at room temperature for semiconductors. The NanoWiring Cube is an automatic production machine that allows users to process any type of NanoWiring structure in between 30nm and 100µm on materials like Wafers, Leadframes, PCB and FPC or ceramics and glass in a structure of 3µm and 300mm Pad size.
  • Fortune AI – Winner of the NVIDIA Award and Okinawa Innovation Award
    Fortune AI is a Taiwanese AI startup that utilizes AI to enhance safety and excitement in sports venues. Their SAFE SWIM solution is an AI-driven, comprehensive drowning detection system designed to enhance safety in swimming environments.
  • SEEDiA – Winner of the NXP Award
    SEEDiA is a Polish startup that focuses on green urban solutions, starting with solar-powered benches, info-kiosks, and bus stops. It expanded its offerings with the world’s first autonomous solar charging e-bike rental station for bicycles, serving hotels, office buildings, shopping centers, and public facilities.
  • NTUST - The Applied Cryptography Laboratory - Winner of the Taiwania Capital Innovation Award
    The Applied Cryptography Laboratory explores cryptographic technologies for environments like IoT and V2X, focusing on encryption algorithms, secure communication protocols, and privacy protection. It designs and evaluates cryptographic methods, including those resistant to quantum attacks, while collaborating with governmental, industrial, and academic partners to develop future-ready information security experts.

●InnoVEX 2024 Event Overview●


As the special startup focused event of COMPUTEX, InnoVEX 2024 will be held concurrently with COMPUTEX 2024. The event will focus on 4 major topics: Semiconductor Applications, AI, Smart Mobility, and Green Tech. In total, over 400 startups from more than 30 countries and regions will join InnoVEX 2024. This year, InnoVEX will feature speakers from major global tech companies including Renesas, PSMC, and more.
