InnoVEX 2024 Introduces Innovations Through and From Taiwan

InnoVEX 2024 was held from June 4 to 7 in the Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center (TaiNEX) Hall 2, 4F. Reflecting the rising trends in the tech industry, InnoVEX 2024 focused on AI, Green Tech, Semiconductor Applications, and Smart Mobility. A total of 400 startups from over 30 countries and regions, as well as 23 pavilions organized by international trade offices, industry, academia, government, and more participated in this year's InnoVEX, making it the most diverse it has been since it started in 2016. Held concurrently with COMPUTEX, InnoVEX gathered the attention of not just innovative startups, but also leading corporations, VCs, CVCs, media, as well as VIPs from Taiwanese government and international companies.
VIPs Joined in InnoVEX to Promote Global Innovations as New Events Attract Exhibitors, VCs, and Media
This year's InnoVEX was joined by various VIPs from Taiwanese government and international companies from the very start. InnoVEX 2024 was opened by speeches from Kung Ming-hsin, Secretary-General of the Executive Yuan; Paul SL Peng, Chairman of Taipei Computer Association (TCA); and Simon Wang, President & CEO of TAITRA. The opening ceremony was also joined by Mr. Oscar Adolfo Padilla, the Ambassador of the Republic of Guatemala; Dr. Takashi Hattori, Deputy Representative of Japan-Taiwan Exchange Association; Mr. Frank Roger Paul Paris-Vilaceque, Director of the French Office in Taipei; Mr. Matthieu Baudouin A. Branders, Director fo the Belgian Office Taipei; Robert Niel Fergusson, Representative of the Australian Office; Mr. Dhananjay Singh Yadav, Deputy Director General of the India Taipei Association; and more.
The VIP visitors to InnoVEX 2024 include the newly appointed Premier of the Executive Yuan, Cho Jung-tai; Chairman of Bank SinoPac, Wei-Thyr Tsao; and more. The InnoVEX 2024 Top 15 Meet Up also saw the participation of the VC judges and finalists of the Pitch Contest. The participating judges represent various VCs and CVCs such as ResorTech EXPO, NXP Semiconductors, Pegatron Venture Capital, PwC, and etc.
InnoVEX 2024 also introduced the Livestreaming Area which could be used by media members to record or livestream content privately in the showgrounds. The Livestreaming Area was used for the InnoVEX Interview which was joined by representatives from SEAGATE Technology, Alif Semiconductor, Kneron, and more. The InnoVEX 2024 Pitch Contest also had special guests joining to present trophies to the winners such as the CTO or NXP, Lars Reger who awarded the winner of NXP Award, Seedia Ltd. with their trophy.
InnoVEX 2024 is the Most Diverse in its History, Introducing New Startups in the Exhibition and Forum Topics in the Forums
Positioned as the innovation hub of Asia, InnoVEX aims to connect startups with the world through Taiwan. This year's exhibitor count of 400 startups come from over 30 countries and regions with 23 pavilions which includes a number of first-time participants such as the pavilions organized by Indonesia Economic and Trade Office to Taipei (IETO), Investment NSW (Australia), Keelung City Government Department of Economic Affairs, OKINAWA Prefectural Office, and Startup India. Longtime partners and pavilion organizers that returned to InnoVEX are: CNC Accelerator, Commercial Office of Brazil, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), Flanders Investment & Trade, Garage+ Incubator, Global Industry Platform of NTU System (T5GIP), Go Incubation Board for Startup and Acceleration Firms (GISA), GxPartners, Le French Tech, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University (NYCU), NTPC Digibase, ResorTech EXPO in Okinawa, Small and Medium Enterprise and Startup Administration (SMESA), StarFab Accelerator, Taiwan Research Institute Entrepreneur Ecosystem program (TREE), Taiwan Tech Arena (TTA), Tamana City Hall, and Training Program for Interdisciplinary Talents of Precision Health.
The topics in the InnoVEX forum 2024 also introduced age tech which has rapidly become an important industry for countries around the world. Titled “Exploring the Future of Aging-Tech Forum”, the forum included a keynote speech and a panel discussion featuring experts representing the medical, senior care, food & beverage, as well as ICT industries. The forum explored the possibilities of future technology applications and industrial business opportunities in the elderly industry. The returning topics include AI, startup ecosystem trends, EV, and more.
The diverse exhibitors and organizing partners as well as forum topics in InnoVEX 2024 showed how InnoVEX continues to contribute greatly to the startup and ICT ecosystems.
TCA's 50th Anniversary Celebrated in InnoVEX 2024
2024 marks the 50th anniversary of TCA and several events were held onsite to celebrate this special occasion. As one of the organizers of InnoVEX, TCA organized the dedicated TCA 50 booth where participants could join a lucky draw event for a chance to win airline tickets and commemorative whiskey from the award-winning Kavalan Brewery. Future events organized by TCA will also feature special events to celebrate this anniversary.
InnoVEX 2024 Partnered with Taiwanese and International Media
Innovation, cooperation, and partnerships are among the main keys to success for startups. In this spirit, InnoVEX continues to evolve to include more events and features that can help promote the participating exhibitors as well as contributing partners. This year, InnoVEX partnered with ICT media from Taiwan and abroad; including EE Times Taiwan, Tech Bang, and Tech Orange from Taiwan, as well as Allround-PC and NewGadgets from Germany and Julian Tech from Singapore.
InnoVEX 2025 will Take Place in May 2025
Leveraging the success of this year's events, InnoVEX 2025 will be held from May 20 to 23.
