Taiwan StartUp Interview - MICROIP
2024-06-28
MICROIP redefines the possibilities of IC design, focusing on providing one-stop customized IC design services from architecture planning, logic design to tape-out. Proficient in both front-end and back-end design, MICROIP offers tailor-made solutions according to customer needs. Collaborating with industry leaders such as ARM, SiFive, and Andes, MICROIP aims to become a leading provider of cutting-edge customized IC products.
From initial discussions to final tape-out, MICROIP provides robust support throughout the entire IC design process. With its architecture compiler and iPROfiler™ RTL performance analysis EDA tools, MICROIP ensures efficient and customized design solutions, which is at the same time excellent in quality and innovative.
MICROIP’s strengths lie in AIoT Device SoC and Heterogeneous SoC (Multi-die chiplet high-speed interface) designs in AI and HPC. With a highly experienced IC design team specialized in SoC design, MICROIP not only offers functional verification services but also provides performance verification services using self-developed EDA tools, ensuring successful tape-out in the first attempt.
Recognizing the increasing prevalence of AI accelerators in modern SoC designs, MICROIP also provides architecture design consulting and design services, along with AI model training and inference, extending to edge device deployment. The development of the AI SoC performance analysis tool – iPROfiler – further solidifies its commitment.
MICROIP states that iPROfiler can identify performance bottlenecks in SoC logic design, presenting the information in textual-aided graphical formats. This allows SoC design department heads to easily pinpoint performance bottlenecks, facilitating communication between AI model teams and software teams to modify and adjust AI models and related software, achieving optimal SoC hardware and software performance.
For instance, iPROfiler can identify performance metrics related to data access between on-chip and off-chip memories, providing valuable analysis data for SoC design teams, AI model teams, and software teams to significantly enhance cross-departmental and cross-company collaboration.
In the future, MICROIP will continue to better its capabilities in SoC architecture design and improve existing EDA tools to provide tailored solutions to help customers complete their work more efficiently.
