Announcing the First Batch of InnoVEX 2025 Pitch Contest Awards & Sponsors

The InnoVEX first batch of awards for the InnoVEX 2025 Pitch Contest will be sponsored by Piece Future, PwC Taiwan, and ResorTech EXPO in Okinawa Executive Committee; with more to be announced. The InnoVEX Pitch Contest has been one of the mainstays since it started in 2016. Now entering its 10th anniversary, the InnoVEX Pitch Contest will feature the largest prize pool yet since its full return in 2022. Featuring prizes and awards from sponsors and partners, the prizes will include cash prizes as well as various professional and promotional resources and investment opportunities.
Future Star Award Promotes Pre-Angel Startups
Since its inception in 2016, InnoVEX has always welcomed startups in all stages and the Future Star Award was established to support early-stage startups and university research teams. The Future Star Award of InnoVEX 2025 is sponsored by Piece Future and focuses on startups in pre-Angel Round funding stages, providing them with essential resources to navigate the competitive tech landscape and safeguard their innovations.
The winner will receive a USD 3,000 cash prize and access to the Technology IP Landscape Overview Study Program, valued at USD 12,000, which offers insights into market trends, competitor strategies as well as patent categorization. The program will collect and analyze patents relevant to the target technology or market to identify emerging trends, innovation hotspots, and strategic areas of focus. At the same time, patent citations and legal status of the IP will also be analyzed to understand technology evolution and potential opportunities or threats.
To qualify, applicants must join the IPHatch Accelerator Program and confirm their participation by checking the designated registration box. Through this initiative, InnoVEX 2025 reaffirms its commitment to fostering early-stage innovation and equipping startups with the tools needed to thrive in the global market.
PwC Taiwan Award Supports Taiwan-Based Startups
As the Taiwan branch of one of the biggest accounting firms in the world, PwC Taiwan will sponsor the PwC Taiwan Award for Taiwan based startups. This means Taiwanese startups or overseas startups who have established a company in Taiwan will have a chance to win the sponsored startup consultation resources with a total value of USD 10,000 from PricewaterhouseCoopers Taiwan (PwC Taiwan); as well as a video interview, a trophy and a certificate provided by the organizer.
In addition, PwC Taiwan will invite the winner to join the PwC Taiwan’s startup accelerator “Scale Programme”. This includes 6 months of customized counseling plan, engaging in investors’ matchmaking opportunities, accessing at least 10 counseling hours, and the co-marketing and media promotion from Scale Programme. The consulting service covers various key segments including business consultation, tax consulting, risk & corporate advisory, exit strategy consultation, legal consultation, international strategy consulting, and more.
Okinawa Innovation Award Supports Startups Aiming for an Expansion to Japan and Provides USD 18750 for the Winner
From 2024, the InnoVEX Pitch Contest has had sponsorships from the ResorTech EXPO in Okinawa Executive Committee; a government agency under the IT Innovation and Strategy Center Okinawa. Titled the Okinawa Innovation Award, the winner will receive rewards with a total value of JPY 2,850,000 (approximately USD 18,750 as of time of writing).
The prize consists of JPY 200,000 cash prize, JPY 300,000 travel subsidy to attend ResorTech EXPO 2025 and CEATEC 2025, 2 exhibition booths at ResorTech EXPO 2025, speaking opportunities on site and at online seminars, reception participation for 4 people, 2-hour reservation for business meeting room, publicity and advertising, demonstration opportunities in the demo environment area, and 1 exhibition booth at CEATEC 2025. This means the winner of the Okinawa Innovation Award will also have the opportunity to exhibit at ResorTech EXPO 2025 in Okinawa (November 13 – 14, 2025) and CEATEC 2025 in Tokyo (October 14 – 17, 2025). The winner will also receive a video interview, a trophy, and a certificate provided by the organizer.
InnoVEX 2025 Pitch Contest Open for Non-Exhibiting Teams
As one of the organizers of InnoVEX, Taipei Computer Association (TCA) stated that the upcoming InnoVEX 2025 marks the 10th edition of the startup focused event. TCA stated that InnoVEX has also grown significantly in this period; with the number of exhibitors doubling from 2016, while the number of visitors has tripled. Celebrating this remarkable milestone, the rules for the InnoVEX Pitch Contest have also been updated to allow non-exhibitors to join the competition after paying their registration fee; while InnoVEX 2025 exhibitors can join the Pitch Contest for free.

COMPUTEX TAIPEI was founded and named by the then Chairman of Taipei Computer Association (TCA), Stan Shih. In 1985, TCA invited TAITRA to be a co-organizer of COMPUTEX TAIPEI. In 2016, the startup focused event, InnoVEX was introduced.
